How to implement a secure web browser in an android app

What I need is a browser within my app to make the user able to search through the internet.

The problem is that I can't use a WebView because of its security issues. A trusted web activity doesn't fit my needs, since it only opens trusted websites.

My last hope was chrome custom tabs, but not every smartphone has chrome and a chrome custom tab opens a new activity, which means my bottom navigation bar will dissapear. Because of that it doesn't integrate well in the app. It also has limited ui customization and I am not sure, but I think you can't make the url editable, so it also doesn't fit my use.

Is there an easy way for implementing a "web browser" into an android app that is secure.
