My daughter has shown a propensity for all things nerdy. She is my mini me and because I do not have the a "son to throw ball with" I will instead connect with her in my other passion, coding. I am not trying to brag here but for background purposes she excels at math, science and loves solving complex problems.
I will not use the organization's name but my wife and daughter are in cookie sales. I am sure you know. It is always a giant headache each year and the tools she is give to track sale for not only her but the many girls she leads is not the best. So I decided to make an application that fits her needs and my daughter has asked to help.
I do not have many technological requirements but there is going to be some sort of database component and it will be a web site. Probably NoSQL like Firebase because it's free to host given I do not exceed their imposed limits (I won't in this case). I do not expect to be teaching her everything here and plan on just doing some of the harder things and explaining it after the fact.
I am a full stack developer and right now I mainly work in and Angular frontend with a C# backend, but that is not the limit of what I know. Those seem like a big leap for a beginner and it got me thinking.
What is the best technology/language to teach my daughter? Keeping in mind I do want to have a functional product at the end that can be scaled if needed.
I am sure there are thousands of opinions here and not one correct answer. I was just wondering what everyone else thought.
