How to configure domain name with tomcat having static ip

I have a web application hosted on tomcat in my local machine(windows 7) and i have static ip for router which port forwrds the request to tomcat..no how to bind the domain name with this tomcat...On gogle it says that you need to bind domain name with dns...can some guide me on this.... Thanks
