Is it possible to login on a web browser by using a native app?

Problem: I want users to authenticate on my web app through instagram (or snapchat, or twitter) without having to remember their username / password. I know on native apps if you're logged in to another social app, you can authenticate with that identity using deep linking. I want to be able to do this from a web app in a mobile browser. Is that even possible?
