what are some methods on validating a dynamically generated form for sql input?

I have been trying to generate a generic form that essentially gets the sql table fields as a label and then creates a text field. While I have been success in doing those thing I am having a hard time figuring out a method that allows me to ensure the data being inputted is appropriate while not knowing the contents/data types of the table ahead of time. What methods are out there to validate a generic form?
