I want to replace the contents of a div upon clicking a button.

I have 6 div elements in a parent div element. I want to show only 3 divs at first, then upon clicking a button of a specific category I want to replace those 3 divs with other 3 divs belonging to that category name. I want to have 3 buttons like this. I have used the Jquery replaceWith method but the code breaks when I click any other button after the first click. Please help cause I have been frustrated by this problem now.
