How to convert "Nov. 6, 2018, 6 p.m." to "Nov 6, 2018 18:00:00" in javascript?

I have the date and time as "Nov. 6, 2018, 6 p.m." format but i need "Nov 6, 2018 18:00:00" format in order to implement a timer in javascript. And using "Nov. 6, 2018, 6 p.m." in Date().getTime() gives an epoch value. Any clue how to convert this into required format?
