What is the real need of web design inspiration directories in this world??

I have recently finished my web designing course, and staring with my career in designing websites. These days I surfed a lot about web design and encountered websites, which were meant for web design inspiration. cssbest.com was not the only website, there were more link siteinspire, unmatchedstyle etc. These websites showcase other websites, which according to them are good looking. How these type of websites can help a web designer? Won't it be called as cheating if, I create website similar to those showcased in directories?
