Is there any way to redirect an already opened webpage on the computer from an Android app?

I am still learning programming so please forgive me if I am asking silly questions.

So basically, I would like to build an Android app that has the function when user click on it, it will redirect the already opened website, on the computer, to show some information of the user. Much like the WhatsApp web version login mechanism where you need to scan a QR code with your phone and the webpage will redirect you to your messages.

I know it is possible but as a newbie I don't what keywords I should use to find such tutorials/documentations.
