change network settings IP/Netmask/... via web page

I would like to develop a lightweight web page on my embedded Linux web server (lighttpd) to change IP settings, start/stop/execute scripts on my embedded linux device, reboot the device, define and update Cron jobs, show sqLite3 usage, upload software updates. Would like to use Python + Bash for CGI
