How i set NGINX rewrite to replace spaces as hyphen (-)

i want to set nginx rewrite to Replace spaces to hyphen

like this

/board/news%20comuunity -> /board/news-community

i tried

 rewrite ^-$ %20 break;

but no work ..

help me ..
