Javascript vs Python working with documents on the web?

I really like Python and also JavaScript. I wanna be a Webdeveloper. I wanna really ask why some People use Python for webscraping or web automination. Is it not better to use the native language of web documents javascript.

Please can someone explain it to me because I wanna specialize in one Path but I am confused.
