Which language should I use in order to check data on a webpage?

be prepared this is a pretty broad question. I am a freshman in college and always have a hard time getting into the classes I want. This is mainly due to the fact that in order to register for a class, I am required to sit in front of my computer and every so often click refresh to see if another student has dropped the class so I can take his seat. In short, I want to make a program that automatically logs on to my school account and checks if there is an available seat in the class I want. What language would you recommend I try to accomplish this in? I have programmed in Java and C++ for over a year now but am unsure what language to use to target areas on a webpage for data. Thanks.
