CORS with unsupporting site

I've been trying to perform an API request to the MusixMatch api and been having CORS issues. I've tried many headers and nodes but it seems that the api itself doesn't send back the origin header Is there any way to access this request from a browser using cors?(it works when i use the allow-cors chrome extension, but i would like a general solution for this problem)
