Why is the web credentials API so bad? On chrome PasswordCredentials is supported but not on firefox, firefox for some reason only support PublicKeyCredentials, also when I finally get the API to work in chrome I get wrong password from navigator.credentials.get API. What is happening? Is this API deprecated? It says experimental despite being over 4 years old now. Is there an alternative to caching user credentials? I am aware of webauthn but I would need something as low level as Web Credentials API for my use case. Any ideas?
