How do I automate this mxrecord look up with python?

I need to check some records from a site called mxtoolbox, in particular the hostname and the DMARC record / policy. I have a list of domains in a Excel document I need to go through and put in manually to the website. Then I read the response and write down the DMARC policy and the hostname in the same document. This process is really slow and boring, can I automate it somehow with some code? My idea is a program, which reads in an excel document, puts in the domains one by one and copies the information required into the same excel document under another column. I am pretty good in python, but never made projects with other languages, so a python solution would be great!
