How to build my own sample UI application and deploy components into it

I am an Senior Automation QA for Web applications(Worked mostly on Selenium and Core Java).

I need some help: We are developing some individual components, that will be consumed by other teams in their own applications. Basically it is to maintain uniformity and consistency across all the applications in the company. For eg. a button/header.These components are available on github.

I am supposed to test these individual components on the UI, and we don’t have any test UI for this. I don’t know how to load the components on the UI and test them.

Suggestion given by my product team and developers is to build our own sample UI application and then deploy/invoke/host these components into this UI and test them.

I am OK to set this all up on my local. What help I need from you is:

1. How to build my own simple UI application - Where to start,what to set up, configure, proceed and finish.

2. How to invoke/deploy these components into this UI. Where to start,what to set up, configure, proceed and finish.

Your help will be highly appreciated and this would transform me into the world of development.
