Play framework - first web framework

i am programming in Java from last 3 month and now i have been given a college project on Database to create website for Bus Ticket Reservation . I have no experience in website development and want to start making with Play Framework.

Now there aren't many video tutorial available for Play , though i have heard there Official Document are good place to start . So is Play Framework a good First choice to start website Development ? Or is there other Framework which may be easier or have good amount of Online tutorial .
