What will be the lacking features of WebGPU once its running in the browsers?

WebGPU will allow the use of compute shaders which seems the mayor webGL drawback vs desktop graphics programming. So, apart from the language performance (javascript vs the desktop options like c++, c# or others faster than js), will there be any other mayor lacking feature vs desktop graphics programming? (meaning any major computer graphics programming feature, comparable to the lack of compute shaders)
