Is it possible to make own file system with javascript? [closed]

So I was working on a blog / social media website with the MERN stack, and I needed to manage videos and images. I needed them to be stored statically and be persistent. Could I say make my own small little api or website where I can store files? Right now I am using Multer but it is storing it to my disk.Please give a solution
