SPA(single-page application) is always a better choice than MPA(muiltiple-page application)?

I understand presentation is largely decoupled from backend processing in a SPA, it affords the opportunity to develop more than one user interface (such as a native mobile application) for the same backend functionality. It also opens up the opportunity for integration with other applications that can consume the API. But not all applications require that flexibility, and MPA is a simpler design if all you need is to display information on a web page ?
