How to check Microsoft edge browser is running in IE mode

When edge open a site which is listed in enterprise site list, it will use IE 11 kernel to render it.

The user agent header seen on server side is identical to IE 11. how can I tell that's IE 11 wrapped by edge, but a pure IE 11 ?

Distinguish at client side or server side are both OK.
