Autofill website fields with local informations

Is there a way to autofill website text fields using informations from a local file ?

I tryed using a chrome extension but it can't use a file that is not a part of the extension.

This is for my computer so i can use anything.

I know i can't call local files/functions from the browser so i'm looking for another way to do it.

Should i make a program that will manage it ? Or is there a simpler way ?
