As of 2019, what (standardized) front end web technologies/components allows real time audio streaming?

Let's say I want to broadcast real time audio from a (web) server to a web page.

Broadcast as in will be one to many web pages / clients.

Assume that the server can implement any audio streaming protocol / codec / encoding.

What front end web technologies supports real time audio streaming?

For example I know WebRTC can probably solve it, but can an audio tag also support real time streaming? Are there any other technologies/components supports real time audio?

And which is recommended to use and why?
