What tools are used to detect type of database used in an application?

i have to make a comparatif study between different websites, i used a tool to detect which language is developped with everyone but i want to know more about every site like the database or the architecture if possible. Is there any tool that may help me or it is impossible? PS: those sites are using technics of big data. I have made many researches but in vain
