My apologies if question is not in right place.
I recently learned some bits of photoshop and dreamweawer and how easy it is to draw anything on canvas in photoshop, and then 'save for web' which creates same layout, positioning etc in html page. For someone who doesn't know much css, it was so easy to move any element to the exact desired place (using photoshop).
However end result is all images in html page (lots of images for white/blank spaces and everything else is image too).
I wanted to understand is this latest and correct way to develop a website template? Or is it outdated? and latest way is to use css for positioning/layout etc (and use photoshop just to create assets (image etc))? Does a website having images (less text) will impact SEO (search engine optimization) as well as crawler won't be able to read it?
Thanks.
