Create a webpage with button that runs a desktop application on the client

i need a little of help with this issue.

I develop a launcher for a game. But i want make a webpage with a big button that says "CLICK FOR PLAY". Then when the user click in the webpage of my game the button "CLICK FOR PLAY" this runs my Launcher desktop application previously installed on the client.
