Uploading large files, triggering shell scripts and displaying results

I need a method to upload large files (10GB+) from a web interface (or any other GUI) as client, trigger some shell scripts on the server's back-end (Ubuntu machine) and then display the results (.png and .txt files) in the web interface. What solution would you guys recommend?
