Embedding a python GUI application in webpage

I have built a python GUI using tkinter. I would like to put this up in my webpage.

My knowledge on web development is limited to basic html. I know that there are ways to run javascript embedded into html.

Is there a way to run python scripts? Can someone point me the way forward.
