Cannot install Laravel because the requested PHP extension zip is missing [duplicate]

I tried to install Laravel on Terminal (Mac OS X). However, it failed and showed this problem.

I used the "composer global require "laravel/installer" command.

    - Installation request for laravel/installer ^3.2 -> satisfiable by laravel/installer[v3.2.0].
    - laravel/installer v3.2.0 requires ext-zip * -> the requested PHP extension zip is missing from your system.

Do you have any suggestions on how to solve it?
