Bachelor thesis [on hold]

I have to come up with my idea for my bachelor thesis by this week; and this has been something I've struggled with so far... trying to get a balance between my preference and my teacher.

In the end we decided on taking on a similar idea to what has previously been done but obviously different elements has to be applied. Please keep in mind, I'm not the most competent programmer, so although it has to be challenging it has to be doable also alongside all other classes ( I'm really struggling with balancing everything atm ).

The previous platform takes into consideration that CS is now in the curriculum and though it's a positive things, it's new to teachers who don't have CS degrees. As a result they aren't aware where students struggle. So it's a platform which creates homeworks and uses these tasks to get a better insight on progression using analyse tools/telemetry.

So I'm looking at some sort of Web development which uses analytics to help aid teachers how to program/how to help their pupils program. I'm just looking for some ideas as obviously it can't be identical to the previous system. Any ideas will be much appreciated! but please be reminded by it must be doable =/ because I'm not the best programmer, and most things will be a challenge.
