socket.io client xhr poll error in reactjs

I am trying to connect a client to the server via socket.io and when I connect it gives me a xhr poll error I have no idea what to do and how to fix it can anyone please help?

The error message:

polling-xhr.js:157 GET http://localhost:3001/socket.io/?EIO=4&transport=polling&t=NqdN5Qn 404 (Not Found)
