I am facing error 500 Internal server error for C code as web development

I have created C exe file using codeblocks then put it in xampp "cgi-bin" folder named it as "index.cgi" then i have configured appache httpd.conf by changing document root and added "Options Indexes FollowSymLinks Includes ExecCGI" but when i open it in web browser it gives 500 internal server error. there is no .htaccess file which i should delete and reinstall.
