How can I import my website codes into my domain?

I made a very simple website in visual studio just to test, and now I want to upload it to my domain, but every article tells me to upload the file to the public_domain folder and says nothing else.

So that's probably all I need to do but I can't put the files into my actual website. There is also something else, I don't know how I can create a new "page" for a domain in the hpanel (for example: amazon.com and amazon.com/home).

I was really repetitive and I can't explain this very well, but if anyone understood, pleeeease help me.
