Web development stack [closed]

I’m a junior developer and looking into developing my first website as a personal project - a trading card tracking website. However I’m not sure on the stack to use. I have experience in java, react and MongoDB. However I have heard it’s a pain to develop that stack and server side rendering is an issue. I’m new to this so am not 100% sure. Would it be best to stick to a MERN stack as this seems to be most beginner friendly? Is java only viable for large scale websites? Is ssr necessary? Thanks for any help or pointing in the right direction
