Is using a cms (WordPress) a good choice for a e-learning website that is expected to get +10k visitors a day?

I'm going to create an e-learning website that contains many videos and I wanted to know should I write all the code from scratch or should I just use a cms like Wordpress, the question is, is it going to be as good as udemy or lynda.com if I use Worpress? knowing that all I want to do is show he videos for free so there won't be many functionalities
