Can I host a web app (website), Angular+Spring+Java+Maven, on Azure?

I was thinking of creating a small web application for personal reasons.

• Angular 7
• MySQL DB
• Spring
• Maven

Can the site I create be hosted on Microsoft Azure? Can I use my own chosen (open source) tech, or will I have to use Azure (for instance their DB solution)? I was thinking of getting like a virtual, small Linux machine to run my app on. It’s like a simple website.

Can Azure be used for this, or do I need other solutions? The app is very simple; fetch data from DB, add some biz logic, then present on the website with Angular 7. Can Azure also handle like SSL certificates?

Also, is the price high even if the website will barely get any traffic?
