Wich CMS for Register, Directory for medical plants with an mysql db

First i have to apologize for my english skills, thats not my native language.

OK, my concern: For my diploma thesis 3 mates and me want to design a Database for medical Plants, the Database is an MYSQL database running on an Centos server. We also need to build an App for Android Devices and an Website for people who like to find a natural cure for their diseases.

My job is to design and develop the Website, first i thought about using only PHP and HTML, but thats a huge of work. So i looked for something like an CMS. I discovered wordpress, yoomla and so on.

My question is: is there any CMS specially for "Databaseish" website, like an Register or Directory. I have to Design for each Plant a site with detailed information like pictures, medical informations and botanic details.

It should be as simple as possible to query data form the db.
