How to control the number of values in x axis

I'm using real time amchart to display some information, I get the data for both y axis and x axis from the database, the x axis is real time and it's updated every second, but I can't control the number of values that are shown in x axis!

I've tried min, max and gridcount but nothing seems to work! Any suggestions?
