What are the technologies to make Java web applications

I'm a PHP developer. In PHP, nowdays to make a modern web application a safe choice is using frameworks as Symfony or Laravel.

They solve in a decent way probably 80% of common cases. Of course depending on the application, other libraries to learn and to use includes Composer, PHPUnit, Doctrine, Monolog and so on...

Which are currently the most common solutions to build modern web applications in Java?

I know that are on the "market" more than 1000 dead frameworks, and more than 1000 edgy libraries to solve the most crazy thing, but I'm interested in the 20% of libraries that gets 80% of job done.
