Windows Credential Check from web site in ASP.Net

I have a web page which accepts Window's username and password from the client on Windows OS. Is it possible to validate a user's Windows credentials for the machine running the browser that displays the web page. IIS hosting the web site is on a machine and network that is different from the machine and network running the web browser that is displaying the webpage.
