displaying and discovering many videos on one dynamic website

I am looking for a solution to organize, show and discover a lot of videos on a (self-hosted) website.

Lets say that I have 50-100 videos from the past few years which I want to categorize by topic and year and have them searchable. These videos are hosted by vimeo and youtube.

The goal is to show a "now playing" space in the upper third of the site with a playlist of the most recent videos and below that have a section where you can discover videos by year or category or search. It should be all dynamic and the chosen video should play in the "now playing" area.

I searched for wordpress plugins but only found a few just suitable to showcasing the most rescent videos. I didn't find any with a proper discoverability feature and where everything takes place on just one page.

Do you know if there exists something like that? It doesn't have to be a wordpress plugin. Or do I have to build that on my own?
