Why Polymer isn't successful as it should be

I just want to ask a global question about technologies & frameworks for frontEnd webApp.

• Material design as UI is, IMO, looks good. A nice UI which both could match web & mobile applications.
• Web components concept which suppose to help us making our code reusable is a cool functionality.
• Binding. Polymer also support 2&1 way data binding, which one was the BIG thing of angular. Also, as far as I know it has good performances.

So question is: Why polymer isn't successful as it should be?
