Rewriting subfolder with .htaccess

Actually, I have my website folders like this

/www
    public/
        other/
        build/
            index.html
    api/

My goal is, when my user go to http://ip/ the server forward the request to /public/build/

and that, done with an .htaccess

Someone know how to do this?
