how to hack/crack and be a web designer..?

I am doing engineering(1st year) in computer science and I want to learn ethical hacking and cracking (I understand the difference b/w hacking and cracking) so kindly suggest me some good tips, web source..etc to start with. I also want to learn web-designing. Please help me and give some good tips, learning source so that I can start from now. Also suggest me a good language other than c/c++ which should be learnt for good placement.
