Create a bot that gathers links on a site and downloads videos from each link

I'm trying to create a bot that you enter a link, it then grabs all the links on that page and then goes through each link, searches the page for a video and downloads the video. Not sure which language to try to write this in, if anyone could point me in the right direction to get this started, it's greatly appreciated.
