This must be a very rudimentary question. I recently need to do some test work on some websites, and i am having trouble describing UI element in website not knowing what are the proper term to use.
Take stackoverflow.com page for example, how do you call the black title bar at the top where "inbox msg" "reputation" "badge" "review" .. search box? Just call it title bar? and each of the "inbox msg" is called what? link in title bar?
Also the "questions" "tags" "users" "badges" etc underneath, are they called tabs, menus?
It would be very appreciated if someone can provide a link as to what many of web UI layout/elements are officially call. I tried to google myself but surprisingly did not find a good reference.
