Overflow a background image from one div - behind a clip pathed other DIV

I'm trying to have the background image of one div overflow into the next, usually I would just extend the div element's height but I'm using a clip path on the element immediately below it so as it create a skewed effect (not employing the use of -webkit-transform etc. here).

Here is a basic image of what I have. I need that image to fall under the blue angled polygon, hereby eliminating the white area (that is the body of the page set to background: #fff).
