i created a .crt file what is the next procedure how can i add it to my website for a simple ssl protection

I have created a .cert file using windows IIS manager. what is the next step.

what should i do with the .cert file in order to provide security (SSL) to my website.

can anyone help me in developing SSL and how to upload it to my website.
