Add Sup tag in execCommand Text selection

Hello I try Annoataion with .execCommand i want to add sup tag in selection,

when user select the text and click on Add Annotation button then selected text goes to next div and selected text wrap in span with selected color background

I want to add Class to span and add tag in span is it possible with execCommand?
